First Time Guest Information

Getting to the Church
Rolling Hills Baptist Church is located near the intersection of Braselton Highway and Old Peachtree. It is convenient to people living in the Dacula, Lawrenceville, Auburn and Buford areas. (Get directions here.)

How Do I Dress?
Dress comfortably. While some attendees do wear their "Sunday best," most folks wear casual and comfortable clothes on Sunday morning. Don't worry about what you wear - just come expecting a great experience.

What Do I Bring?
If you have a Bible, bring it with you to church. Our Senior Pastor, Phil Weaver, preaches from the New International Version (NIV) translation of the Bible using a teaching outline for his Sunday messages. A Bible will help you to follow along in worship and Sunday Bible Study.

What Kind of Music Will I Sing?
Rolling Hills believes in exalting God. Our music is considered contemporary by most standards... praise choir, praise team, keyboard, guitars, drums, bass, congos. No fog machine or disco ball here... We are fully aware of the need to help those who don't know Christ to be inspired by the music and drawn into the presence of God. Although music is often a hot topic in church, we make no apologies for what we sing. Our music reaches those who don't know Christ and inspires those who do know Him.

When Do I Need to Arrive?
Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:30 AM and the Worship service starts at 11:00 AM. (See our complete schedule.) Arrive ten minutes before your desired worship/Bible study time to allow for parking traffic. You may wish to allow for an additional 5-10 minutes if you need to place preschoolers or elementary age children into classes, as we will need to obtain child information.

Where Do I Need to Park?
We reserve parking for first time guests and senior adults right in front of the worship center. Just look for the signs. In the event all guest spaces are full, there is parking in front of the smaller church building and behind the preschool building. Welcome centers are located in the front entrances to the worship center and children/preschool building. (See building layout)

Where Will I Go?
RHBC has excellent preschool and children's ministries, as well as a dynamic Youth Ministry. Our hosts at the Welcome Centers, greeters or parking lot attendants will assist you in getting your children to their class or department. (See building layout)

Nursery to 5th Grade - We offer an active and appropriately developmental Bible Study for babies through Kindergarten from 9:30 - 12:00. 1st through 5th grade children go to Sunday School at 9:30 and "Big Church" at 11:00. 1st through 4th graders will be dismissed to Children’s Church (“J-Train”) after the music portion of our worship service. Listen for the train whistle and our conductor calling “All Aboard!”

Youth - Middle and high school youth are in Sunday School at 9:30 AM and worship services at 11:00 AM.

College & Career - Young adults in the college & career group (18-25 years) are in Sunday School at 9:30 AM and worship services at 11:00 AM.

Adults - Bible study classes are offered for adults at 9:30 AM. These include men's and women's classes separately, as well as couple's classes for the newly married to senior adult.

What About Security?
We take child security seriously. Each child must be registered before entering a Bible study class or children's worship service. You and your preschooler will be assigned a security number tag. The security number tag must be presented when you are picking up your child. Additional security measures and personnel are on campus to ensure the safety of every attendee.
