Frequently Asked Questions

How much do we owe on the new building?
$1.65 million dollars.

What's our goal?
Victory Goal:    $1.00 million
Challenge Goal: $1.25 million
Miracle Goal:    $1.50 million

When does the campaign start and how long will it last?
The campaign was launched on October 3, 2004 and will conclude on "Celebration Sunday" November 21. The giving will begin on December 5, 2004 and continue for three years.

How will the money be distributed?
The first $11,000 received each month will be used to pay the note on the new building. In addition, we have identified two future growth projects: additional parking and the purchase of the Cronan Property (our current church offices). Monies collected in excess each month will be placed in an account to be used toward the completion of these two projects. The order of completion of these projects will be determined by the need.

How does paying this debt down help us in ministry?
Moving Forward in Faith, our successful stewardship campaign that ended on September 30, 2004, allowed us to pay off our Children's Building and fund some of the construction costs on the new building without negatively affecting our everyday ministry. "Changing Lives…Today and Tomorrow," will allow ministry to continue unhindered as well as pay down debt and fund future growth projects.

Could anything change the plan of how the money will be distributed?
Yes, if significant growth occurred and we needed additional facilities, the plan may be adjusted to accommodate any future loans we might need.

Will new members be asked to participate in "Changing Lives…Today and Tomorrow?"
Yes. New members will be introduced to our new stewardship campaign in the Discovery Class (membership class). Also, the Follow-Up team will be contacting new members over the upcoming three years. We will give them every opportunity to catch the vision of "Changing Lives…Today and Tomorrow."

How can I participate in "Changing Lives…Today and Tomorrow?"
First, everyone is called to pray, seeking God's will for RHBC and their households. Then you will be given the opportunity to make a three-year financial commitment.
